- Look at all the words you need to find. Familiarize yourself with the list before starting.
- Scan the Grid Horizontally
- Start at the top and scan each row left to right and right to left, looking for the first letter of a word.
- Scan Vertically and Diagonally
- Look up and down each column, and then diagonally (both forward-slash

directions).
- Look for Unique Letters or Combinations
- Identify uncommon letters (like Q, X, Z) or specific letter patterns that may stand out in the grid.
- Circle or Highlight as You Go
- Mark the word as soon as you find it to avoid rechecking the same areas.
- Cross Off the Word
- Once found, cross the word off the list to keep track of what’s left.
- Double-Check Directions
- Left to Right
- Right to Left
- Top to Bottom
- Bottom to Top
- Diagonal in any direction
- Take Breaks if Needed
- If you get stuck, rest your eyes for a minute. Fresh eyes often spot hidden words more easily.
- Use a Finger or Pencil as a Guide
- This helps you stay focused while scanning the grid.
- Finish the Puzzle
- Once all words are found and marked, give yourself a pat on the back!
